A technique used to graphically represent connections amongst key concepts using lines, links & graphics.Each idea is connected to another idea or fact creating a web of relationships.
Techniques within a Mind-map include free writing, word association, spider webs and images.
Level 1: Primary Ideas:Examine your Product- What comes to mind- Don’t think on it too much -Note it down- strange ideas are GOOD.
Level 2: Divergent Thinking:Now guide your ideas- link to Design Elements & Principles such as Colour,Shape,Type. Vary these, Combine them.This creates new ideas.
Level 3: Creative Ideation- Using these connected ideas- form clear solutions to your task brief. The purpose is to gain more inspiring and original new ideas.
